Becoming a Patient
The View DSC provides specialized endodontic, periodontic, and surgical care to address a wide range of diseases, injuries, and other conditions. In most cases, our specialists require a referral from a dentist. This gives us the information we need to perform the correct endodontic, periodontic, or surgical procedures. In an emergency where a tooth infection or damaged tooth is affecting a patient’s ability to work, eat, sleep or perform day-to-day activities, we also provide direct emergency interventions.
We work with general dentists in Arcadia, CA, San Gabriel, CA, and surrounding areas. If you are seeking experienced, attentive care and a wide range of expertise for your dentistry patients, we can help. We are happy to work with you and your patients, review your cases, and assess the best possible treatment options for each one.
Emergency Services
We offer emergency services without the need for a referral.
While most of our appointments are made through a referral by a local dentist, this is not always an option when emergencies arise. If your tooth is infected or damaged and it is causing intense pain, or making it difficult to work, eat, sleep, or go about your day, you may need emergency treatment.
This may include emergency surgery, corrections to dental implants, root canal treatments, antibiotics, or other medications or interventions, depending on the type of illness or injury affecting you. The oral surgeon or another professional will explain the procedures needed, and resolve the situation using the most minimally invasive treatment possible.
Whether you have a referral or you are visiting for emergency services, our staff will do everything possible to make your visit comfortable. We will explain the services or procedures that you need, and make sure that you understand the process. If you have this information available, it’s helpful to bring dental X-rays with you from the last six months. If you have a referral, we can get these from your dentist. We will also need the details of your medical and dental history, including what medications you are taking. If you have dental insurance, bring your insurance card. Patients under 18 years of age must have a parent or guardian present. If you are having surgery, you’ll need a friend or family member to take you home after the procedure.
Your dental insurance provider may require preauthorization for certain services before you receive them. In these cases, you may need to visit the office before the procedure to receive authorization.
What You’ll Need:
- Dental X-rays from the last six months, if available
- Details on your medical and dental history
- List of medications you are taking
- A parent or guardian for minors
- A friend or family member to take you home, if you are having surgery

Use our new patient forms to help make the transition to our offices easy and smooth. Download these forms in your patient’s preferred language, fill them out, and fax them to us. If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us.
Dental Insurance Plans We Accept
The View DSC accepts most major PPO insurance policies. This helps to make endodontic and surgical care affordable and easy to budget for. We also accept some HMO insurance plans, though these will require a referral from a dentist. PPO insurance policies do not always require a referral, especially for emergencies.
If you are not sure about how your insurance may cover your care, contact us. We’re happy to help make these services affordable for you. We also offer affordable payment plans during COVID-19. We work with major credit cards, Visa, Master, and Care Credit.
